CJIC Won the Soin-Koru Dam Multi-purpose Project in Kenya
On 11th May 2022 , National Water Harvesting Storage Authority of Kenya awarded the contract for construction of the Soin-Koru multi-purpose dam project to CJIC. The construction period is 60 months.
The project is located in the the Nyando River, upstream from the town of Muhoroni in Kisumu County, Kenya. It is a comprehensive water conservancy project including flood control, water supply, irrigation and other functions. The designed water impounding capacity of the proposed dam is nearly 100 million cubic meters, which can provide about 72 million cubic liters of water per day to meet the water consumption of 1.7 million people in Kisumu County.
