On June 19th, the chairman of CJIC, Zhang Jian-An, paid a visit to the President of Zambia, H.E. Hakkende Hicklema, in Lusaka.

After listening to the report on the construction and operation of the Jiangxi Economic Cooperation Zone in Zambia, President Hicklema stated that Zambia and China are all-weather friends and comprehensive strategic partners, and the friendship between the two countries has a long history. CJIC is a first-class international engineering contractor that has built numerous high-quality projects and livelihood projects for Zambia. It has demonstrated strong capabilities in the construction and investment operation of the Zambia Jiangxi Economic Cooperation Zone, and has made significant contributions to creating employment opportunities and employee skills training for the local area. The Zambian government is willing to support the development of CJIC in various fields in Zambia, and will fully support the construction and operation of the Zambia Jiangxi Economic Cooperation Zone, providing guarantees for the high-quality and safe development of the cooperation zone.

Zhang Jian-An reported to President Hicklema on the company's development in Zambia, focusing on the industrial planning, park construction, and investment promotion achievements of the Jiangxi Economic Cooperation Zone in Zambia, especially the provision of employment opportunities and skills training for the local area. Mr. Zhang expressed that CJIC is willing to fully participate in the construction of infrastructure and other fields in Zambia, especially with the support of the Zambian government, to continuously promote the construction and investment operation of the Zambia Jiangxi Economic Cooperation Zone, and strive to create more job opportunities for local people and help promote the socio-economic development of Zambia.
