The maintenance project of the government office building of Pohnpei State in the Federated States of Micronesia was successfully completed and handed
On January 10, the maintenance project of the government office building of Pohnpei State in the Federated States of Micronesia was successfully completed and a handover ceremony was held. Chinese Ambassador to the Federated States of Micronesia Wu Wei, traditional leaders of the Madelenim and Sox regions of Pohnpei State, President Simina of the Federated States of Micronesia, Vice President Palick, Speaker Moses, Governor Joseph of Pohnpei State, and dignitaries such as the Minister of Transportation, Minister of Finance, Presidential Foreign Affairs Advisor, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federated States of Micronesia, as well as envoys and company representatives from various countries to Micronesia attended the event.
In his speech, Ambassador Wu Wei reviewed the construction process of the project and expressed that China is willing to work with the Micronesian side to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen practical cooperation in various fields, and better benefit the two countries and their peoples.
President Simina delivered a speech, saying that the project is a manifestation of the friendship between Micronesia and China, and that the Micronesian side will continue to firmly adhere to the one-China policy and continuously consolidate and develop the friendly relations between Micronesia and China.
Witnessed by Ambassador Wu Wei and President Simina, Embassy Counselor Li Hu and FSM Minister of Transportation, Communications and Infrastructure Apis signed the project handover certificate on behalf of the two governments. Ambassador Wu Wei handed over the key symbolizing the opening of the new building to President Simina.
