China Jiangxi International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd. (CJIC for short) was established in 1983 with the approval of the State Council of the People's Republic of China. In April 1988, it was designated as a foreign-related economic organization directly subordinate to Jiangxi Provincial Government.

In May 2004, CJIC was listed in the first batch of enterprises subject to the supervision of State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Jiangxi Province (JXSASAC) for the fulfillment of JXSASAC's responsibilities as an investor. 

In December 2022, two institutes — Jiangxi Provincial Architectural Design and Research Institute Group Co., Ltd. and Jiangxi Urban-Rural Planning and Municipal Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. — were integrated into CJIC as subsidiaries.

Through over 40 years’ development, CJIC has evolved into a large-scale comprehensive transnational corporation. Its core businesses cover overseas and domestic engineering project contracting & investment, architectural design and consultancy. The company is also engaged in mineral resource exploitation, international trade, international exhibition, international labor service, and execution of China-Aid projects.

CJIC has successfully completed over 800 international engineering projects and China-Aid projects in more than 70 countries and regions in Asia, Africa, Oceania and Latin America, including buildings, roads, bridges, water conservancy, airports, airfield works, stadiums, power generation and transmission, solar power plants (PV), borehole drilling, water supply and sewage treatment, etc. In the aspect of international labor service, the company has so far dispatched 120,000 person-times of technical workers to Japan, Singapore, Jordan, Saipan, among others.
