Recently, Hon. Liu Guoyu, Economic and Commercial Counselor of Chinese Embassy to Zambia headed a delegation and inspected the project for the Upgrade and Extension of Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, Lusaka, Zambia and attended a meeting with the project team.

During the inspection, Liu Guoyu carefully listened to the report by the project team on various work aspects including construction status, progress, safety and security protection. Liu Guoyu pointed out that, CJIC had overcome a lot of challenges such as tight working schedule and COVID-19 epidemic, and completed the construction work with high quality and high standards, which had made positive contributions to the promotion of Zambia's economic and social development and China-Zambia friendship. Liu Guoyu also required continued adherence to the principle of safety first and reinforcement of safety and security measures to ensure the personal and property safety of overseas Chinese personnel.
