Zambian President Hichilema Attended the Operation Ceremony of Kalene Hills Fruit Processing Factory

An operation ceremony of Kalene Hills Fruit Processing Factory, built by CJIC, was held on July 27th, 2022. H.E. Hakainde Hichilema, Zambian President attended the ceremony and cut the ribbon. Other attendants included Provincial Minister Robert Lihefu of Northwest Province, Industrial Development Corporation Limited, the owner of the project, the Zambian market leader of CJIC and the local employees.
President Hichilema said that the operation of the factory would bring a lot of business opportunities to the local fruit processing industry, and thousands of growers and suppliers would benefit. This is another example of the Zambian government's efforts to promote local economy and create better business environments.
In his speech, President Hichilema gave credit to the company's contributions to local economy. He said that the project provided a lot of job opportunities and promoted the local economy. Zambia needs more of such factories.
Kalene Hills Fruit Processing Factory lies in the Mwinilunga District of Northwest Province. The factory, with an annual processing capacity of 25,000 tons, includes a steel plant, an office building and accessories, the outdoor paths and green belts.
